Although still a fairly new festival, Camp Bestival has seen some of the hottest acts take to the stage.
Last year, Fatboy Slim, Becky Hill, Vengaboys ( Yes really!!!). Kelis brought her milkshake ! , Heather Small ( Of M People Fame), The Sugarhill Gang, and west country combharester favourites the Wurzels !!! all performed.
This year will see the likes of: Rag’n’Bone Man, Rudimental, Sister Sledge, Kool and The Gang, and the Earth, Wind & Fire Experience will be gracing the Lulworth Castle grounds..
Family Fun will come from Dick and Dom, Horrible Histories, Terrible Tudors, MC Grammer and Firework finales every night!
It’s diverse mix of bands, food and entertainment drags Bestival in as one of the top festivals to be at this summer.

Camp Bestival Timeline
2004 – The first ever Bestival kicks off with Basement Jaxx, Fatboy Slim and Zero 7, who stand out amid the jam-packed line up.
2005 – In its second year, Bestival proves that it was not just a one hit wonder. With Royksopp, The Magic Numbers, Superfurry Animals, 2ManyDJs, The Go! Team and Soulwax storming the Bestival camp, festival goers got to glimpse the magic that Bestival holds over other festivals. Word on Bestival begins to spread, increasing its already expanding popularity.
2006 – Grabbing hold of 2006’s hottest artists including Lily Allen, Klaxons, Scissor Sisters and Hot Chip, Bestival succeeds in making a name for itself as one of the more cutting edge festivals.
2007 – The 2007 line-up proved to be the best yet with The Beastie Boys, The Chemical Brothers and Primal Scream headlining. Kate Nash, The Gossip, Patrick Wolf, Billy Bragg, Jack Penate, The Maccabees and Calvin Harris also performed.
2008 – Two words – Amy Winehouse.
2008 – First Camp Bestival which is the sister festival to bestival headliners Chuck Berry, Flaming Lips, Kate Nash – The Fancy Dress theme was ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.
2011 – Festival was extended – with camping allowed from Thursday Lunchtime. Headliners included Blondie and Primal Scream who performed the Screamadelica album in its entirety. The theme was Medieval.
2013 Was a four day event. There was more dance space and for rhe first time a Science tent. Headliners included Richard Hawley, Levellers and Labrinth. There was a world record attempt for the most paper aeroplanes flying at once s.
The theme was “around the world”
2016 – The theme was Space
2020 – The event was cancelled due to Covid 19.

Big Green Coach to the festival site
the official coach provider for camp bestival Dorset are Big Green Coach. They will be running a return coach service from London Victoria directly to the festival site.
Coaches will be run from Thursday 28th July and then they will return home on Monday 1st August.
